Migraine Headaches

A migraine can be crippling with symptoms so serious, all you can think about is finding a dark, quiet place to lie down. Up to 17 percent of women and 6 percent of men have experienced a migraine.

In some cases, these atrocious headaches are preceded or accompanied by a sensory warning sign, also known as aura. Flashes of light, blind spots or tingling in your arm or leg are ussual aura symptoms. A migraine is also often accompanied by other signs and symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light, smells, and sound. Migraine pain can be agonizing and may disable you for hours or even days. Attacks are often recurrent and tend to become less severe as the migraine sufferer ages.

Migraineurs are always looking for methods to help prevent Migraine attacks. We would like to avoid medications as much as possible, and we're always concerned about the possible side effects. Over the years, in addition to countless medications, many Migraineurs have tried numerous vitamin, mineral, and herbal supplements. There are times when supplements work for some people. Unfortunately, more often than not, we see little if any decrease in the frequency or severity of Migraine Attacks.

Although research and development of Migraine abortives has made great strides in recent years, work on preventives has been lacking. None of the medications used for Migraine prevention were originally developed specifically for that purpose, and trials of drugs being used off-label for Migraine prevention have been so few that only one drug has actually been approved by the FDA for Migraine prevention. This trial of coenzyme Q10 is important both because of it's excellent results and because it is for a Migraine preventive rather than another Migraine abortive.

NutraCAMs Cardium contains ample amounts of CoQ10 to help prevent migraine headaches.
